In November 2024, Tiera Click launched When the Mind Clicks™, a personal coaching and educational platform dedicated to life coaching, family guidance, and social support for individuals recovering from mental health challenges. Referred to the PCR SBDC by her grandmother, business advisor Patricia Click, Tiera sought guidance from advisor Mayra Cortes to build a solid foundation for her new venture. Her mission is to deliver clarity, connection, and confidence through individualized coaching, workshops, and community programs—helping clients reconnect with themselves, repair relationships, and reimagine their futures.
At PCR SBDC, Tiera worked through the Branding Journey, developed her business plan, and established operational systems for consultations, invoicing, and outreach. She invested $4,000 of capital, secured multiple grants—including $2,951 from the SELF Cohort, $5,000 in services from the Intuit Coaching Suite, and $1,500 from the Polk Institute Pitch Competition—and initially created her digital education hub via Teachable.
Since then, Tiera has continued to evolve and expand her business with ongoing support from PCR SBDC advisors. She transitioned her digital platform from Teachable to Shopify, where she now offers mental health journals and products designed to support individuals in their healing and personal growth journeys. She has also built an online presence through platforms like TikTok and LinkedIn, using educational and engaging content to increase accessibility to mental health tools and resources.
Through mentorship with advisor Sahar, Tiera strengthened her digital strategy, expanded her LinkedIn presence, and deepened her understanding of AI tools for business growth. This guidance also inspired her to pursue and successfully earn her neuroscience coaching certification, enhancing her ability to integrate cognitive science and emotional regulation into her work. She has also been featured twice on the SBDC Small BizTalk Podcast, increasing her visibility as a mental health educator and entrepreneur.
A major milestone in her growth includes securing a contract with the San Bernardino County Probation Department, where she facilitates weekly workshops focused on helping individuals regulate, reset, reframe, and reimagine their lives through self-leadership, psychology, and social-emotional learning. This partnership has increased her monthly revenue by approximately $2,400 and reflects her expanding impact within community systems.
In addition, through financial mentorship with advisor Joseph, Tiera has developed clear financial goals and milestones, successfully reaching her first documented monthly income target and setting new benchmarks for continued growth and sustainability.
Beyond her program development and contract work, Tiera has become increasingly active in her community. She has attended multiple GLAAACC Gala events, as well as vendored at events with Southern California Edison and the San Bernardino City Unified School District. She has also collaborated with the nonprofit The Good Part Perspective to facilitate community workshops for youth.
With continued support from PCR SBDC advisors across branding, marketing, digital strategy, and financial development, Tiera has positioned When the Mind Clicks for scalable growth. With an expanding product line, increased community presence, and a secured government contract, she is poised to further scale her impact as a mental health educator and leadership development professional committed to transforming lives.
